Automotive Production Plant Flooring
Warehouse Flooring Solutions installs concrete slabs, polished finishes and resurfacing systems for automotive production plants across the UK. Floors are designed to support body shops, assembly lines, powertrain areas and internal logistics routes.
20 +
Years
Experience in Industrial Flooring
Automotive plants combine pressing, welding, painting, assembly and testing within one site. We deliver flooring that supports vehicle flow, part handling and equipment positioning, while helping teams keep production areas organised and safe.
Our Expertise
Flooring Requirements in Automotive Production
Automotive production facilities operate with continuous movement between press shops, body-in-white areas, paint lines and final assembly. Floors must carry conveyors, skids, automated guided vehicles and tow trains, as well as supporting fixed equipment bases and workstations. Surfaces need to cope with tyre marks, overspray, oils and coolants without becoming difficult to clean or unsafe underfoot.
Many plants select
polished concrete
in assembly and logistics areas to improve visibility and keep dust levels low, while more heavily loaded zones may require reinforced slabs or local
resurfacing
to manage focused loads and frequent turning.
Flooring Issues in Automotive Production Plants
Continuous production schedules and repeated equipment movements can expose weaknesses in floor slabs. Left unchecked, these issues can slow vehicle flow, affect alignment or increase maintenance demands.
Cracking and settlement beneath presses and heavy assembly stations
Surface wear and tyre marking along main vehicle and tug routes
Oil and coolant staining that makes cleaning more difficult
Joint damage in areas where trolleys and stillages cross frequently
Uneven zones affecting conveyor level and skid movement
Local damage in paint shops and preparation bays from overspray and abrasion
Our Process
STEP 1
We review plant layouts, production stages, equipment bases and internal logistics routes. Particular attention is given to press shops, paint areas and high movement corridors where the floor is under constant strain.
STEP 2
Based on the review, we set out a plan using new slab installations, polished finishes or industrial overlays, together with joint work and bay repairs where equipment and vehicles have caused deterioration.
STEP 3
Works are phased to fit around model changes, shutdowns and line stoppages. We rebuild damaged areas, reprofile uneven sections and apply resurfacing solutions to give a consistent, clean and easily managed surface across production and logistics areas.
Flooring works follow BS 8204 guidance for surface regularity, supporting accurate equipment placement, conveyor lines and vehicle movement in production halls.
We work in line with BS EN 206 for concrete mix and curing practice, helping to achieve consistent performance where loads, temperature and chemical exposure vary across the plant.
Our teams hold CSCS cards and are experienced working in live automotive environments with moving vehicles, equipment and staff routes.
SMAS Worksafe accreditation confirms our compliance with SSIP standards and supports consistent safety management throughout each flooring project.
We provide flooring solutions for automotive production plants across the UK, supporting assembly lines, paint shops, press halls and internal logistics routes.
